How to make Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Bites! This simple dessert only uses 5 ingredients.
Perfect for those with a sweet tooth!
Are you a chocolate lover? Same here! Dark chocolate to be exact. Not only is it the perfect solution for your sweet tooth, it's rich in antioxidants and can improve brain function. The more I keep natural sugar desserts in the house, the less I'm grabbing an artificial treat from the drive-thru. This easy to make dessert (inspired by my friend Sam's creation) only uses 5 ingredients and can be kept in the freezer for a quick and healthy sweet at any time!
Dark Chocolate Almond Butter Bites
Ingredients
These measurements will slightly differ depending on how big your molds/liners are, what your nut butter to chocolate ratio is, etc:
silicone mold or mini muffin liners
1 bag dark chocolate chips
Almond butter
2 tbsp coconut oil
Sea salt (optional)
Honey drizzle (optional)
Instructions
Double boil 1/2 the bag of dark chocolate chips until melted, then mix 1 tablespoon of coconut oil into the chocolate
Add the 1st layer of chocolate to the molds (fill less than halfway to leave room for the almond butter and top layer of chocolate) and freeze for 30 minutes
Add in your almond butter for the 2nd layer - freeze 10 minutes
While the molds are back in the freezer, double boil the second 1/2 of the bag of chips/coconut oil
Fill molds to the top with chocolate mixture, finish with a sprinkle of sea salt and drizzle of honey - freeze for at least 1 hour
Thaw for 5 minutes before eating and enjoy!
